Studio
Studio is a 6-level general English course for adult and young adult students. This project has two video strands. The practical English lessons (101 Things to do in English) are based around a short video scene. All of these videos are shot against a green screen. Teachers can project the video background image in the classroom when students role-play their own versions of the scene, making the task more motivating and memorable.
The other video strand consists of Life Stories (Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate levels) in which people tell a personal story to camera; Studio Views (Upper-Intermediate and Advanced) in which people interact in an interview situation; and Studio Mix (Beginner and Elementary) in which actors model tasks for the students.
The scripts were written by myself, Lindsay Clandfield, Philip Kerr, Rob Metcalf and Rebecca Robb Benne. The videos were produced in Barcelona by Cadenza and Estudi BG.
